Baby’s 1st Food Festival…VEGANDALE

“We officially went to our first food festival as a family and it wasn’t as hectic as I thought it would be. We planned our trip in advance and that’s honestly my number 1 tip to having a great family outing but here are a few others that helped.”

  1. Arrive early, we purchased the earliest entry tickets available and made sure to arrive within 30 minutes of the gates opening.– I’ll admit as someone who used to come to this same festival child free this was odd for me. However we quickly began to see families and strollers among the crowd and felt at home.
  2. Avoid the center stage and crowded areas, although we brought along noise cancelling headphones for our son, he and I stayed back towards the photo and picnic areas where there was less noise and commotion. Nadir would head out and bring snacks back to our picnic blanket which turned out to be really nice and we met a few other filled with other festival loving families while sitting in the sun
  3. Leave early, we left around 2pm nearly 4 hours before the festival ended but in my opinion the perfect time for a family to head home. As a former festival girl I know what evenings are like; loud, fun but not really family friendly so it was best to stay for a good time not a long time, especially when we escaped all the hassle of post fest crowds.
